New Year, New Website
We have been busy over the Christmas break working hard on our new website; we hope you like it.
We have aimed to make it more user friendly and to better highlight the areas we work in and the courses we offer. Any feedback is very welcome, so, please, have a wander through the site exploring and discovering as you go!
Family Support Project
When a family member is in distress it can be incredibly stressful and difficult to maintain an ongoing positive relationship. Pressure will be placed upon all relationships in the family and on all aspects of family life; relationships with any other children in the family, with partners as well as the relationships siblings will have with each other.
We feel it is right that parents and families get training that fits perfectly with their particular needs and situation. To this end we are proud to offer both two day workshops and direct consultation and training in the home; we will come and work directly with families to gain a real understanding of the behaviours experienced on a day to day basis and create effective proactive strategies.
D.ESCAL8 TM are proud to deliver these Parent and Family Workshops with Dr. Christianne Pollock.
We welcome any family member over the age of 12 at the discretion of the responsible adult.
Our Open Courses are as popular as ever and fill up fast. They are perfect if you do not have a large staff group, care professionals who work alone or in small teams or are an agency worker.
This option also enables managers from larger organisations to experience the course and decide if it would benefit their staff. If you are coming to experience the course with this view, then you are most welcome to contact us to discuss accessing a free place.
Here are the dates we have released for 2018 so far
Jan 29 - 31st - Bristol & South West Hub - only 3 places left
April 25 - 27th - West Wales Hub - 30% booked
Are you interested in a inset day that is informative, fun and memorable enough staff are talking about it months afterwards? Interacting with individuals who display distress through problem behaviour has an emotional toll on all educators.
D.ESCAL8TM now run bespoke workshops for SEN and mainstream schools, as well as a workshop specific to the needs to Pupil Referral Units.
As with everything we do these workshops are about ultimately developing and improving relationships between individuals, and learning how to maintain those relationships when people display distress.
All of D.ESCAL8TM training and consultancy is founded upon Positive Behaviour Support (PBS). PBS is backed by a solid evidence base; organisations such as Skills for Care, NICE and the British Institute of Learning Disabilities (BILD) have PBS at the core of their literature and practice.
