'Supporting Individuals in Distress' (SID) Update Day
In line with the Restraint Reduction Standards your staff will remain certified through completion of annual update course. The RRN Standards stipulate that Updates occur at a minimum of one day annually starting within 12 months of the original course.
Unlike some other systems D.ESCAL8™ customers receive this annual update as a one day workshop. Your updates will remain a single day providing that you maintain your certification within the 12 month stipulation.
However, after 3 years we suggest that you extend this update to take 2 days so that your staff can comprehensively refresh all their skills including stress training. This suggestion is also relevant in certain situations e.g. organisations who experience a change in service user group or who are opening a new establishment. We advise either training the staff all together again or a 2 day update to consolidate the group.
