This online interactive training involves your team generating live content to discuss. Facilitated by our Training Lead this training can cover many different elements agreed in advance with the commissioner of the training. It can also be run where the participants decide live what modules they would like to cover.
The modules themselves promote knowledge and understanding however if you choose the modules well, the outcomes have an effect on individual ethos, resilience, group cohesion and an overall improvement in Psychological Flexibility.
Modules within this workshop are taken from full courses and the modules mentioned here should be considered introductory.
Each online event has constraints to the numbers of participants as we deliver this workshop using technology in a highly interactive fashion, not just listening to someone talk. The commissioner of the training should discuss with our lead trainer what your individuals needs are and which elements fit well together.
Elements such as:
Do not be concerned if you have staff who cannot get the technology set up - discuss with us how you can assist those in your team to access this workshop.
It is by far the best thing to start with the Acceptance & Commitment Training as people get a lot out of the anonymous interactivity of seeing how others think and how closely this relates to our own thinking. Please scroll down to see the testimonials below.
The workshop has been successfully run across a number of groups. However please be aware that individuals find it very difficult to stay online learning for long periods of time.
This structure is totally flexible. We have facilitated, for example:
That way an educational setting can run a morning and afternoon group achieving a full day of inset training.

This course was invaluable and just what we needed to raise morale and self-esteem at such a difficult, critical time in 2020.
The course was deemed ‘enlightening, thought provoking and a tonic’ and reinforced a team building approach. Staff felt it was an ‘eye opener’ to witness how other staff were feeling when they were feeding back anonymously about their feelings, emotions and experiences and felt that they were not alone.
Staff took time to focus on their positive and supportive reactions to pupils and staff who were in distress or needed support and assistance and will apply these strategies to themselves. A very positive camaraderie and renewed team building approach has resulted from this course.
We have worked with Des on other sessions and projects and he never fails to enthuse, engage, challenge and support staff. Thanks so much, an excellent experience again.
Engaging and informative and Des is great at what he does!
I felt the course was delivered well with some material being available to read and watch before which explained things very well.
The course was very informative and provided advice on how to manage ourselves as well as individuals in distress.
I found it very deep but very interesting.
Excellent content suitable for all adults put across in an engaging and interactive manner
A really interesting morning with lots of content. Some really good ideas and food for thought to take back to school
The process used to deliver the course online worked really well. It was easy to follow and made it interactive
I found the prosocial videos amazing and would like to use the prosocial principles in school
I enjoyed the course and the content. Some information was intense. Held over zoom was a strange experience but one that was delivered well.
First time for me to be on Zoom for a meeting, and really didn't know how it was going to work, as the course is normally so physical. It was very well organised and planned with relevant content. It worked well, being able to ask questions when needed. I found using Menti useful, as with it being interactive, I felt it made you think and be more aware of the subject matter. Even though a small part was a little intense, it was a good reminder of promoting positive behaviour. Look forward to the next course.
Knowing (and being told) that I focus on negative experiences, it can often take an outsider (someone who doesn't know you) to remind you of the power of positivity. Knowing my own mind and not relying on the reassurance of others is my personal goal.
As this is an update course I have already put ideas into use in my classroom. The distraction techniques can be very effective in eliminating behavious
All the videos chosen for the workshop were easy to access and to listen to and follow. They covered subjects that I personally am very interested in and I found myself looking for further videos to watch by the same company or person. I feel that the strategies shared for self help will ultimately benefit those we look after too. Thank you
